Private by design, without vague promises.
The main library can sync through your private iCloud account. Local AI runs on your Mac. Links, downloads, model files, and iCloud use the network only for the service you choose.

On-device intelligence
Supported AI actions run with local models on your Mac. Clip content used by those actions is processed locally rather than sent to a hosted AI provider. Downloading a model file still requires a network request to the model host.
Private iCloud sync
Your main clip library and pinboards can sync through your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. Some advanced fields, settings, caches, media, and device-specific information may remain local to a device. Memory Dock does not operate its own account system for this sync.
Clipboard capture
On Mac, Memory Dock can monitor supported clipboard changes while capture is active. You can pause capture and exclude selected apps, including password managers. iPhone and iPad use deliberate manual capture rather than continuous background clipboard monitoring.
Sensitive clips
Memory Dock can identify content that appears to contain secrets or sensitive information. You decide whether to mark or protect an item. Selected sensitive clips can be stored in an encrypted vault on Mac. The website does not claim that every clip is encrypted at the application layer on every platform.
Voice, dictation, and media
Voice memos are stored as playable audio and are not automatically transcribed. Dictation creates text. Opening a link, downloading supported media, fetching link metadata, or using iCloud requires the relevant network service. Locally saved supported media can be played without reopening its source page.
Website data
memorydock.app is a static site served through Cloudflare. The site does not include a third-party analytics script or advertising tracker. Cloudflare may process standard request information, such as IP address and user agent, to deliver and secure the site under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Early-access email
The early-access button opens your email client. Memory Dock receives only the message you choose to send to hello@memorydock.app. Do not include clipboard content or other sensitive material in that message.

- Pause automatic capture on Mac.
- Exclude selected source apps.
- Delete clips you no longer want.
- Choose whether to enable iCloud sync, local AI, downloads, and other network-backed features.
